What Brianna Merritt dislikes about Root Flower:

Atmosphere is cool. The issue is the bartenders. Very misogynistic and very attentive to men. Maybe a cultural aspect but I as a female I sat with an empty glass for 15 minutes. The second my male significant other finished his drink, immediate attention. Female bartenders or something else definitely needed. View all feedback.

This was my second visit to Root Flower, and I enjoyed it just as much as during my previous girls' trip (the cocktails were a blast!). This time, I brought my husband for some pre-dinner drinks. We indulged in an incredible wine flight featuring reserved wines from France, and the bartender was exceptionally knowledgeable, going above and beyond to answer our questions about the region. He was very friendly, which made our experience even better. The wine flight was also an excellent choice! I can't wait to return.

The cocktails and wine selection are excellent, and the menu is minimalist, allowing for the preparation of outstanding dishes. The staff is both knowledgeable and friendly, providing great assistance and service.

The cocktail making class with Joe was incredible! Our bachelorette group had the best time crafting drinks so many options to test your skill! Highly recommend this for your next event.

Outstanding, innovative cuisine in a cool space. Great addition to the Village!

Nestled in Vail, this stylish spot dazzles with inventive cocktails, thoughtful wine flights and elevated tapas—big flavors and generous portions make it ideal for celebrations and private events. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, and many diners praise knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. However, expect Vail-level prices and occasional service inconsistency: some guests reported brusque or biased service and bartenders who batch cocktails, limiting customization and mocktail options. A limited menu and occasional odd flavors (overuse of turmeric, medicinal notes) temper what is otherwise a memorable, upscale evening out.

Great spot! The staff was very attentive and the concept was solid. However, they felt a bit over the top at times. The drinks had a slightly medicinal flavor, and the charcuterie platter could benefit from being a bit less adventurous.

Delicious cocktails and outstanding tapas await you here. Be prepared for Vail prices, but the experience is definitely worth it. The food portions are generous, and the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting. The cocktails are unique and expertly made. Meh. We picked here based on the reviews and, well, hopefully mine you trust more.Limited menu... Fine. But though they pride themselves on craft cocktails, none are handmade per se. Rather, they are batched according to our waitress so that 's why they can 't accommodate any variations (such as making any one of them a virgin by simply not adding the alcohol). Huh? Yes, I 've been a bartender... And this is simply odd. Therefore, only two rather weird mocktails. The Bali makes you think tropical goodness and sunsets but it was so filled with turmeric to be pretty much undrinkable. A pinch of turmeric goes a long long way...After voicing this to our waitress she defended the drink formulation and then quickly bailed out. No offer of something else. At a different restaurant last night (Swiss Chalet), my sister said nothing bad about her aperitif but our fabulous waitress noticed at the end of the fabulous meal that she 'd not had but a sip. On her own, she removed it from the bill despite our protests. Now, that 's service you don 't find but clearly hope for.Ok. Pricing. Nuts even by Vail standards.Overall, a swing and a miss.

Yes is expensive, but it is worth it! Yes not to lie, it was $100 per person but every single thing came perfect, food was great, drinks were great, wine tasting great, ambience great, service amazing! Every single person at the restaurant ensured that we had a good time and gave us great feedback on what we got! If you ever go, please try the deviled eggs! They were super mouth watering worth it!

My experience: We said that the WAITER at the entrance there were snacks, but the kitchen was closed.... since we said this, we decided to take a look, we love new experiences! But this time it was different... we offered respect and we received something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from our waitress from the beginning. For future costumes: There are definitely better places that are also late here in Vail! And for the owners: make sure to hire waiters who were thought of TOLERENCE at school, especially for a city that is expected to receive them international.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. We started with the crab dip, followed by the queso birria quesadilla, and of course, more crab dip. Every dish was incredibly flavorful and distinct. We enjoyed every last bite, and somehow managed to make room for dessert!

The atmosphere was really enjoyable, and we received friendly service from Shelly. They offer an excellent selection of wines by the glass or bottle, along with a variety of beers and cocktails. It was tough to make a decision, but I opted for the Queen for the Day cocktail, which featured botanist gin, fennel tea, and grapefruit juice, all topped with Dubonnet over crushed ice. It was incredibly refreshing and packed with flavor. My husband chose a draft IPA, and we shared a chilled crab dip garnished with chives, served with kettle chips. Everything was perfect!
