Vadstena Klosterhotell

Vadstena Klosterhotel is a nice hotel that is trying to capture a historic feeling. Its location is great as it is situated right next to Vadstena kloster which in turn is close to the town center. Even though the hotel is trying to go with an old esthetic, it doesn't mean the room need to be old (the walls and roof in my room have seen better days). This is something that should be improved upon. Another annoyance was that housekeeping had some kind of staging area outside my room and kept making sounds and dumping things there that they had picked up from other rooms. Breakfast was good.

Torn out (bathroom tiles, cushions, surfaces in the room). we have booked a double room and there were 2 single beds pushed together with a 10 cm distance. no temperature control or sound insulation from the outside. very bad breakfast. definitiw not recommended for a young couple. the village was beautiful.

The only vegan dish was really wonderful. made from fresh raw materials of the highest quality. obviously made by someone who knows the craft. the breathtaking view of the fathers of veranda (only summer) makes it more than the short walk from the center of vadstena good. a little more expensive than the inner city, but every single krone worth. friendly staff and warm atmosphere. it would not have been worth five stars because of the lack of proper milk for free (e.g. coffee) options for the coffee and the lack of vegan desert. for now it will be four deserved stars.
