What Ajinkya Seshadri doesn't like about Sigdi Restaurant:
Worst service, tasteless food...
Worst experience of mine in any restaurant of Vadodara. We ordered Paneer veg in main course, but when order came it didn't had more than 2 pieces of Paneer.
Worst of all in 1 main course veg and 1 lassi we found insects after eating. When we complained they just said sorry. They don't care for customers View all feedback.

So I was here few weeks back with a bunch of friends. Sigdi is predominantly a non vegetarian restaurant with a huge variety of meat dishes to chose from. Being vegetarian, I was not particularly excited about visiting it because restaurants such as these dont have at par veg dishes. After going through a not-so-huge litany of vegetarian options, we ordered hara bhara kabab, paneer toofani and roti. On the non vegetarian front, chicken biryani and chicken afghani was ordered. We had to order veg raita too because apparently they dont serve raita with biryani! I was like what! What kind of restaurant doesnt serve raita with biryani. I was disappointed! Moving on to the food, first came, the kebabs. They looked pretty good and had a rather pleasant green colour to them. But they looked better than they tasted. The kebabs were too salty but if you ignore the salt, the taste and texture was quite good. Salt indeed spoiled it for all of us! Moving on to the main... read more

Amazing food! We ordered Winter leg, which is apparently the best seller...it's basically chicken tikka leg with spiced yogurt topping. It's super juicy and flavorful! Next we had Crackle Fish. Another flavorful and delicious BBQ dish. Do not miss this. Lastly we ordered lamb chop Tawa - concentrated spices and tender lamb chops. Perfect. Although located in a run down strip mall, same as BBQ Nation, the restaurant is great and the ambience is as expected. The attending staff is good and it's them who suggested most of the menu items to us. Keep up the good work!
Went for a family meal, with our little one who is a very finicky eater, so we asked our attender to suggest a mild starter and he suggested "Mast Malang Tikka", they got this on a platter covered in silver foil, i would have been impressed if this was on a base of shredded veggies, or for that matter on a layer of tomatoes, but silver foil..really? Well i wont have mind if the recipe was supposed to be cooked with a technique called "En papillote"(is a method of cooking in which the food is put into a folded pouch or parcel and then baked) however this was not the case. As the waiter opened it we saw this not so photogenic very yellow looking gravy like sauce poured generously over the chicken...hmm but when partook, it was like a treat for my palate, chicken was very soft almost melting texture, the gravy added savour and flavour. Though this was still hot for my child who in spite of grasping for the glass of water periodically did eat well. I think the dirty yellow colour was the obviously the food colour my humble request to the management please don't kill us with these carcinogenic food colouring agents...!!!(you are already doing the killing with your bill) For entrée we ordered "Chicken Barbecue Sizzler" we saw this sizzling platter with some real good chunks of Barbecued chicken (sheekh, malai tikka, tandoori) hissing away to glory but again secured in a damn aluminium foil. The taste was above average and the quantity was good. Though they garnished it with french fries, but they need to have a more generous hand over the garnish! When requested they gave some extra fries for my kid without a cost. The waiter who served us was very caring and quick to respond to our requests.
