El Pollo Loco - Vacaville

I had a free evening, so decided to try their double avocado and chicken salad. It was really good. I liked the green sauce that came with it, but I did add Pico salsa. I would get it again. Service was quick.

Place is clean n staff are fabulous. I had her equivalent of a taco salad. To avoid. The chicken was burned, the salad over ordinary n Bland; the taco dish was very disappointing. Now I know why the restaurant was empty at noon. Ominous sign!

I usually love the chicken tortilla soup at other locations but here it was bland and under cooked and they had no lemon slices and couldn't make 60¢ in change. There was also very little chicken in the soup. It was more like bland vegetable soup. I ate it anyway, but I'm rather unimpressed. It's a franchise. The food flavor should be consistent at all locations.

I was quite surprised on how nice there family meal was. It had a little of everything to make my kids happy. We had tortillas , Mac and cheese, rice and mash potatos with gravy.

I have the double chicken tostada salad. It was delicious. The creamy dressing that comes with it is so good. I also asked about some of the Mexican Vinaigrette salad dressing that was also good. I'd definitely get it back.
