We stopped here after an afternoon at Uxmal ruins. We asked some locals which restaurant they would recommend in the area, and this was it. We had a good meal, great portions, clean facilities, and very nice service. Would recommend it if your in the area.
Great place to eat after walking the archaeological site of Uxmal. We ordered the sopa de Lima, sopa de arroz and sopa de vegetales. All were delicious. We ordered the pollo pibil and cochinita pibil. We also ordered dessert with was a flan, crema francés and papaya to go. The service was great. We were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 15 minutes but definitely glad we stopped.
This was a very refreshing stop after hiking the ruins of Uxmal. The food was excellent; we loved the poc chuc and the fajita de cerdo. The waiters were attentive and quick. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Great food!! The cochinita pibil is buried in a pit with a fire at the bottom to slow roast it. Kids rate it 5 stars.
After spending all Morning at the Uxmal ruins we needed a good place to have lunch before heading back on the 5 hour journey to Puerto Aventuras. We decided to stop here. They were just setting up for lunch but welcomed us eagerly. At first we sat on the inside. The decor was not very appealing but average. We asked if we could move outside on the veranda to tables that weren't made up yet they said yes without any hesitation. The menu had good selection. There were also several fresh fruit waters, juice drinks, beers. I had a drink that was Chaya pineapple OJ I believe other fruits. Our service was attentive. When I told the waiter I don't eat meat he was able to offer me several options that were not on the menu. I went with veggie fajitas my husband with steak fajitas. Both of us really enjoyed our meal the hand made tortillas that came with were absolutely wonderful. It was one if the best authentic Mexican meals we had in our trip. It was a special lunch that I'll never forget. We would definitely return!
