We had a family lunch for my mother's 85th birthday. The staff were lovely, they made her feel very special! As usual the food was excellent, the servers were attentive, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you View all feedback.
What Bob N doesn't like about Tin Mill Restaurant:
Very disappointing. Lunch menu was limited and the quality of food was not up to the description of previous reviews that we looked at. The service was friendly but the food arrived at our table in poor condition. My father in-law had the fish and chips that he quipped on the way home were the worst he has had since 1952! Went Sunday sept 23rd 2018 with 6 friends for a going away party. I had never been there before and to be honest won't go back. The steak I ordered was like eating shoe leather with flavour, I couldn't eat it. Did not feel welcome either, by the manager I believe.
I've only been here the once, but I'd come again. The fries were great, a standout menu item, and the rest of the food we had was above average. The building and locale are interesting. I'd have to come a few more times to have a considered opinion, but based on one visit, it's definitely a place I'd return to.
Love this restaurant. The best one in Uxbridge I think. Menu is classic but not crazy expensive. The patio is amazing in the summer and inside feels like an English pub.
Heard good things about this restaurant so went with my wife and some friends for Sunday brunch and honestly wish I hadn't wasted the time and gas to get there. My wife and I ordered the Eggs Benedict which came with some cubed deep fried potatoes. We both had to send them back as the potatoes were raw. Eventually got our food back and the potatoes were still raw!!!! I get that accidents happen but if something comes back raw, surely you should check it before sending it back to the customer? There was very little hollandaise sauce on the eggs, though the small amount that was there was ok but the muffins were near impossible to cut and I actually thought the knife would bend or the plate would break before the English muffin was cut. In the end we ended up just leaving what was inedible as we couldn't trust the kitchen to actually do it properly if they are unable to deep fry some potatoes. I spent 10 years as a chef and had I served a meal like that, I would have had it thrown at me and it would have been deserved. Serious lack of standards in the kitchen. My friend had the soup of the day which was supposed to be creamy roasted garlic with mushroom and spinach but was actually mushroom with a little spinach thrown in and no garlic as far as I could tell. It still tasted ok though so I give them an extra star for that as some parts of the meal were acceptable. Guess the head chef and sous chef don't work on Sundays?
