What maurice c doesn't like about The Swan:
This pub used to be fairly expensive, but when we went for lunch this week the Sunday menu was changed. As we have not visited this pub for some time, we were surprised by the change. All main courses were £9-50,and for Sunday lunch there was no beef. We ordered Lamb, and then were told that there was only one portion left. I had Pork belly.Food was o.k. Decided to have a journey out for a Saturday lunch having passed the pub on one of my motorcycle trips. Good simple welcoming local. It too much on the menu- usually a good sign of freshly cooked scoff. We had Ham Egg and Chips- a simple meal but you’d be surprised how many pubs can get it wrong....no complaints here- good ingredients, well cooked.
