We ordered an aperol which was less than half of the glass in which half of it was ice. This costed 10€. The excuse was that the machine determines the portions (so it’s not self made Aperol) and that it’s kings day. In return we asked to change, so they proposed white wine which we again for had to pay 6€. The size was half a glass. Instead of making a double aperol portion to fit the glass or coming up with solution we were scammed to pay twice. Don’t recommend to come here. Arrogant owners which do not know what service is. Nice little cafe in the center of Utrecht. Nothing special though. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
On our way to the station we wanted to grab a few last drinks. We went to this place. The opposite venue (gegeven paard) was a bit too static. This one -pub style- suited better. Quite busy on Friday evening. Some limited dancing possible. Friendly bartender. Very convenient : a guy walks through the place with his PIN machine so you don't have to stand in line every time to order a drink. Very close to the station , the ugly side entrance to be precise, via such an ugly tunnel footpath. Already ugly already for decades, discovered it still is. I guess good place for people watching on their small terrace also.
