On the Busy Corner in Utica we were happy with our fried chicken and collard greens first time at Soul One. The woman who served us probably the owner was nice. Next time will order a full meal including cornbread. You enter the place walking through a coffee shop and then you walk through another door into Soul One the R&B music playing was good! Try it, you’ll like it! —Dr Z View all feedback.
What Deana Ross Kit doesn't like about Soul One12:
Odd hours idk if they’re even open to the public we went there and called it looks like the building store front is for sale. And the message when you call says they’re only doing catering. Wish they would update google hours. Or give a number where you can actually speak with someone. View all feedback.
Food always delicious and on point. And the drinks ????
Best fried chicken I have had in my entire life. Honey hot. I wish this place was open more hours.
Hypes: 5 stars for hands down the best fried chicken in all of the land. I'm not joking and i'm not biased it's simply the best and that too in Utica NY The original fried chicken is great, but my favorite go tos are the hot honey chicken and the lemon pepper chicken. mmm. my mouth is salivating as i write this. It's perfectly crispy, perfectly flavored, and well..perfect Love their sides also there's a good variety to pick from collard greens, yams, cabbage, and mac and cheese. their cornbread is so soft and yummy. I have heard their brunch and their shrimp and other dishes are good but they can't get past the chicken to try anything else yet. it's too good. Gripes: You might think a meal of chicken and two sides is pricey but it's really worth it for what you get and worth the satisfaction in your content smiling belly.
Great food and great customer service!! Honey hot chicken is a MUST!! Their flavored lemonades are delicious. They also make special dinners such as: seafood boil, seafood fettuccini alfredo, fried lobster, shrimp po'boy...and more. Overall great restaurant.
