This place was great! I traveled with my 7yr and 1yr old and they had an explosion to do everything! It was clean, the food was great. If you know someone eating GF, they had great tasting options! The staff was also very helpful, this is a great place to stay with small, maybe not so much when you have older teenagers, but we had an explosion and so much fun! We'll be back in the summer. All those who worked there were friendly, great child-friendly atmosphere. At check-in, they could have explained us where things are, as it was our first time there, but she was busy. Our room was really clean and the blankets smell clean. The beds were somewhat smaller than a queen, and our fridge started to go to the ground, but it still worked. The pool, whirlpool, slides, lazy river was so much fun and my guys had an explosion. I noticed that the children's playground in the middle did not work full, but still saw fun. The arcade room is clean, fun, cheap and has a ton of great games! The exercise equipment my children enjoyed with their father and there was a great selection and very well maintained. The sink was surely the breakfast buffet. 10$ for children and 12$ for adults were much too expensive for regular complimentary breakfast in other hotels. Overall, this was a wonderful stay. And we all had an explosion.

Since we had little one, they gave us a special offer (we paid extra, but it was worth it), we came to the pool early and had to check sooner and later a bit after!
Family and I had a great time. Indoor pool was great, the trip to sweet little town was short and comfortable. The villa we lived in was nice, could be cleaner. The mattress from the sofa bed was worn and had holes on the floor, but overall was a decent place to stay with the family. A few things to do in the area, bad part is all shut off quite early, but overall beautiful experience.
We took our 3 years old and 8 years old and they had an explosion! Probably not so funny for older children. She was perfect for children 10 and I think it was. I like the fact that you can bring your meals to the large dining area near check-in, as there is not enough room to eat in our room. Great location next to starved rocks and the cute little downtown was beautiful.
They have done a great job with the renovations at Grand Bear. It is truly night and day compared to what it used to be. Villas were freshly renovated and very clean. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Arcade was very clean and also renovated as well. You can definitely tell that a lot of time and money went into renovating the grounds. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering staying there in the future.
