Offering one of the best views in the Auvergne region with its huge terrace, this is a must for a great dining experience. Lovely staff made us welcome and were efficient. View all feedback.
What Valérie Blot doesn't like about Auberge Margot Restaurant:
Nous pensions découvrir de la cuisine gastronomique du terroir et nous avons été déçus ! Le menu à 27€ pour entrée (terrine au foie gras ou tartine de pied de porc), plat (volaille aux champignons ou saumon - de l'Atlantique!), fromage et dessert nous semble excessif pour la qualité et la recherche mise à l'oeuvre dans les plats servis... Wonderful location, ambience, menu and service! Food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A must-do when visiting Usson or the region.
The steak and home made fries were delicious. The starter was creative and very special. Friendly staff. Unbelievable views. Try to book a table at the window...
We drove to Usson to have dinner here on the terrace. The view is amazing and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and efficient. The village itself is worth visiting as well.
Delicious typical French food, served by delightful people, in a beautiful location. House wine is good. Prices reasonable. Slightly off the beaten track, but well worth a visit.
The restaurant is on the side of an inactive volcano and proves great views of the valley and other dormant volcanoes. Great view for a sunset. If the weather is good you must sit on the outside where the views are unobstructed. The service was very good. The owner speaks excellent English but the wait staff is limited. That was not a problem because we knew exactly what we wanted. A local specialty it is noted for Truffade. The menu is very good but we all wanted this particular dish It like a very thick pancake made with thinly sliced potatoes cooked in goose fat until tender then they add tome cheese until melted and then they flip it and add pork or duck. This is served with a salad. A must have when you are visiting this town. I did not see it on other restaurants in France.
