This place is worth the drive from Ushuaia! We went out that way looking for access to the Magellanic Penguin colony and found it here too! A new business just started by the Capitan, we went out with 2 others and had a private tour to the penguin colony. He did not have a permit to land and walk among the penguins, like some tour operators do but at very hefty prices, but he had a permit to beach the front of the boat and we had penguins within feet of us. A terrific value for only $50US, for a 2 hr trip.
Tucked away in this tiny bay, we discovered a real gem. A few tables mean that you might have to wait but it is worth it! From the warmth of the service to the delicious and abundant plates of food, La Sirena y El Capitan is one of those hidden gems.
We've seen a king's crab. Excellent choice. The restaurant is modest, but the service is good. It is worth reaching a type of 70 km Rand Ushuaia.
Great fish freshly caught in Biber Cannel Fun rides to come here, about 20 miles on a well maintained dirt road. Definitely worth the ride
Very recommended! The restaurant is located on the coast of the Magellan streams and you can enjoy the breathtaking view while you have the most tasteful recently caught Centolla (king basket) and all different types of seafood.
