Scarness Takeaway - Urraween

If you would like a burger that is huge, big juicy burger patties, loads of salad, totally opposite to the famous two, then go to Scarness Takeaways on the Esplanade. There is the usual takeaways, drinks and icecreams available and good old fashioned friendly service. There is seating outside to enjoy your burger or go across the road and sit in the park

Visited this takeaway a couple of times and have found the food to be fresh and tasty ????. The staff are friendly and happy. Great fast service. Would definitely recommend.

The only good think I can say about there Fish N Chips is the potato scallops as they make them from hand and their not greasy very tasty potato scallops the best in the Bay. Fish and chips are very oily to much grease for me I cannot find one decent Fish N Chip shop in Hervey Bay that don't serve greasy fish and chips very disappointing.

Stopped here for lunch 12/07/2015, thought we would grab some fish and chips and sit out the front and watch the world go through the esplanade. the location of this shop is great, right opposite the beach and all the good things that go along with. We were greeted by a bubbly young lady who took our order, it was not busy with only one other customer in the store besides us. Our order of two pieces of flake and chips took some time to come around 15 to 20 min mark. Chips were ok the fish were of a reasonably good size however the batter was greasy, doughy and the fish meat was so tough that I could not finish my piece which was unfortunate, the combination made me feel quite unwell for the rest of the day, probably not go back there again as there a plenty of good to great fish and chip stores to chose from in Hervey Bay.

We ordered take away fish and chips on a friend's recommendation. The fish was insufficiently cooked and the chips not very good.
