Caribou Coffee - Urbandale

It feels like every week my order is wrong! I always ask for the asiago bagel with cream cheese, but they keep giving me an everything bagel with garden vegetable cream cheese instead. Today, when I called to report the mistake, a staff member suggested that it was my fault for the mix-up, even though she had entered the order incorrectly. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake! I won’t be returning to this location. Just yesterday, when I went through the drive-thru, I received a hot chocolate, but the lid popped off in my car because the cup was dented. When I went inside to get a replacement, the staff member made me feel like I was at fault! This is unacceptable customer service!

I used to visit Einstein Bagels almost every morning for a coffee and a freshly made bagel sandwich. However, this morning, as I stopped by on my way to work, I discovered that the turkey sausage bagel sandwich I always ordered is now pre-made. The bagel was tough and difficult to eat. From now on, I won't be ordering breakfast bagels or sandwiches from Einstein, especially since there are nearby competitors that still do it right. I don't understand why Einstein Bagels chose to compromise on quality by taking shortcuts.

I really enjoy Caribou Coffee, but today I stopped by to grab an Einstein Bagel. The girl at the drive-thru kindly explained that Einstein and Caribou have separated, so it will take some time for the signage to be updated. I ordered a blueberry bagel with honey almond cream cheese, which was good—quite sweet, although I think it might have had a bit too much cream cheese on it. I used to visit this restaurant often because they were always understanding of my dairy allergy, simply omitting the cheese from the bagel sandwiches. Unfortunately, today we were informed that they can no longer make any modifications to the sandwiches, which is surprising considering the growing number of people with food intolerances. It seems they might have separated from Einstein's? If that's the case, it would help customers if they removed the Einstein's branding from their signs. It’s really disappointing to see them lose a loyal customer over something as simple as removing a slice of cheese from a sandwich.
