Best Barbeque - Urbandale

Wow! The brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful. The burnt ends came highly recommended, and I can see why. The seasoned fries and Spicy Cheesy Corn were also delicious. The real surprise was the cornbread—when I drizzled some honey on it, it was out of this world! I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in town. My friend ordered the brisket and smoked turkey, and everything was just perfect!

ShortE's deserves more praise as it could easily count among the top BBQ connections in the country. Your brisket is definitely tied for the first like the best I had, it has a rich savory pfeffery smokey bark that I loved. Your selection of sauces was great, but Texas was best on Brisket! Their colossal sandwiches are massive, come hungry or ready not to finish it. I tried other local BBQ joints in Des Moines, but ShortE's definitely takes the top!

We spontaneously chose to dine at ShortE's, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Our waitress was caring and attentive, even asking if she could take the children's orders right away, which parents truly appreciate. Our food arrived very quickly and was accompanied by delightful conversations and plenty of "wow, this is delicious!" The meat was so tender and flavorful; it was clear that it was freshly prepared. This was hands down the best BBQ and culinary experience I've had in quite some time! Support local businesses and visit ShortE's—you won't be disappointed!

Not sure how I've never been to this place, but it was fabulous!! Best grill in the Des Moines hands down. Brisket was absolutely delicious!! The staff is great and super friendly! Recommend the loaded baked potato! Would give this place 10 stars if possible.

Tried this place for the first time last week. Everything we tried tasted great. All very flavorful. Make sure to try all the sauces. We'll be back to try some of the other stuff on the menu we didn't get to.
