What Garett Gislason doesn't like about Wild Lotus Restaurant & Bar:
We had heard a lot about this place and went for dinner with high expectations. We were a little disappointed. I guess it started with the waitress who was standing near the bar wiping cutlery and then throwing it into a a box or container!!. This is kitchen noise that should not be heard by the patrons. Probably just a training issue but poor form.My seafood risotto was quite good but my wife Lamb shanks were tastel... View all feedback.
The staff were most helpful but I was a little disappointed with the amount of seafood in the seafood medley. The fish and the calamari were beautiful but the three small school prawns were a dissapointment.
The service at Wild Lotus was very good with smiling, efficient wait staff. However the food was quite poor. My husband ordered the seafood medley which was supposed to be a combination of fish, tiger prawns, calamari and scallops. There was a tiny piece of fish one solitary very small prawn, three pieces of calamari and three small scallops all smothered in a too heavy cream sauce accompanied by inedible undercooked potatoes .For $34 this was not good. My salmon was a good size and cooked well but didn't taste as fresh as it should. We won't be back!
Fabulous food. The seafood was fantastic and cooked perfectly. It was good to see a restaurant respect it's produce and cook it really well. The wine was great. The service was really good. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great restaurant.

Having sat down and examined the menu we quickly realised our mistake but decided to stay as the staff were very welcoming and the decor inviting. We each had a truly lovely meal - we all had something different and no-one was disappointed. The oysters and the barramundi were particular favourites. On reflection we would not have had starters had we realised how generous the portion sizes would be. A lovely evening!

Prices were reasonable.
