Thai Smile - Urangan

My party of five adults and four children stopped by this restaurant while we were in the area. The restaurant was empty as it had just opened. We were greeted rudely by the man at the counter, who asked if we had a booking. I replied that we did not, we were just dropping in. He responded with disdain, saying we would have to leave and he would need to arrange a table for us. We waited outside, feeling confused by the encounter. When I asked him if there was a problem, he curtly replied that there was. This person was possibly the rudest individual in Hervey Bay. We will not be returning and will be taking our business elsewhere. The unwarranted hostility towards us has left us perplexed and disappointed.

As a couple from Darwin we have pretty high expectations for Laksa tried this place out whileh travelling through and we were very impressed Not only was the food great but the service aswell!! Highly recommended!!

Great spot! The appetizer was a bit average, chicken satay skewers, but the main courses were delicious! The service was good and the prices were fair. The restaurant's proximity to a takeaway next door and the constant flow of customers coming and going do take away from the overall ambiance a bit, but overall I was quite pleased with my experience.

I used to love Thai Smile in Hervey Bay, but after a recent experience, I am no longer a fan. Despite enjoying their food for many years, my last visit was disappointing. My partner and I were treated poorly by the staff, who accused us of taking someone else's reservation. The meals we ordered were not up to their usual standard, especially the tough and inedible peppered quail. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they were rude and dismissive. It was a disappointing end to what used to be a favorite restaurant. I will be exploring other Thai restaurants in Hervey Bay from now on.

Great takeaway Thai. Quick and delicious. Recommend the curries and stir frys. They also offer free delivery.
