Trattoria Alessandro - Uppsala

Today I visited Uppsala with friends. We found this hidden gem when we parked on a carpark close by. The setting was very inviting and the staff most helpful. I had the seafood risotto which was full of seafood and the rice very flavoursome. To finish I had the ice cream which was a lovely way to finish the meal.

The pizza was quite bland and nothing to write home about. The tomato sauce was lacking in flavor and the dough felt more like bread. Additionally, the restaurant had a noticeable cigarette smell. The staff was smoking outside near the main entrance, which gave off an unprofessional vibe right from the start.

I wont be visiting Trattoria Alessando again for 2 reasons: 1: The food was expensive and not worth the money. The beef tenderloin was so under cooked it was blue-ish, the pasta was Over cooked and simply didn't taste good. The BUFFALO mozzarella was something totally else than buffalo, more like something you find at a ICA store. 2. The owner (or someone who acted like an owner) was extremely rude and condescending to his staff. Making the waiter feel uncomfortable and making him look stupid in front of the whole restaurant. I do not and will ever again support a restaurant where this behaviour is accepted. Hope nobody else does too. The food was bad and it was expensive, so why would you?

The food was really nice and was visited by everyone. the service can be a little slow, but it is a really nice atmosphere to spend your evening.

Real Italian cuisine. the staff was super nice and fast. portions were good and there is something for everyone. would recommend everyone to go there.
