Love this place! The lunch was awesome! We ordered the Forsters Long board (6 diff tapas from curried lentils, pork jelly, beef stew etc), Freedom Farms trio of pork (I find the pork a little dry) and the desserts short board (3 different desserts that were so yummy). Meal type: Lunch Price per person: NZ$40–50 View all feedback.
What Daniel Peters doesn't like about Forsters Moutere Hills:
A bit disappointing after several great dining experiences across Nelson. We were sat toward the corner at a table with limited view (despite not being full); many had recommended Forsters for the views. Menu items were not labeled Gluten-Free/Veg (only time during our 5-day NZ stay where this was the case); and server didn 't have knowledge of what was GF (also, a rarity in NZ). Server also never came back to check... View all feedback.

Menu items were not labeled Gluten-Free/Veg (only time during our 5-day NZ stay where this was the case); and server didn 't have knowledge of what was GF (also, a rarity in NZ). Server also never came back to check on us after food was dropped. Food itself was well-presented and good, though we didn 't particularly care for the wines. Overall, nothing magical about our experience here, and especially after so many great food/wine/service experiences in Nelson, wouldn 't return here.
