This was really one of the best experiences my wife and I had in an Italian restaurant everywhere. Jason our waiter was patient and only one of the best I saw when selling the best plate and put the taste in the mouth before it even came to our table. What User doesn't like about Grassi's:
I was hoping to like this place more than I did. Cute little restaurant that seemed like it may be family owned (lots of pictures near the door), but I'm not really sure. I had a really friendly waitress and I enjoyed the Italian music playing. Didn't much care for my side salad that came with my meal. I got pasta which they let me do half fettuccine and half pesto. I loved the pesto but was super disappointed with t... View all feedback.
This was truly one of the best experiences my wife and I have had at an Italian restaurant. Jason, our waiter, was incredibly patient and one of the best I've encountered when it comes to recommending dishes; he made the food sound so delicious that we could almost taste it before it even arrived at our table. All four adults in our party absolutely loved our meals, the service, and the charming atmosphere of this cozy restaurant. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for an exceptional Italian dinner at great prices!
After a long and tiring day, this restaurant truly hit the spot. The three of us each tried different entrees, and all of them exceeded our expectations. They also offer a great selection of complimentary wines. The service was excellent as well. This is a local family-owned business that is definitely worth a visit.
We had a wonderful dining experience with fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. Jason, our server, struck the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, making our meal feel like a 4 to 5-star culinary experience. He was exceptionally patient and accommodating, especially with my hard-to-please mother. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, and every dish we ordered was delicious. The chef's culinary creations seemed inspired by cherished family recipes, infused with a touch of creativity. We arrived just before 8 a.m. and stayed until 10 a.m., lingering for an hour past closing time. We never felt rushed; Jason remained patient and welcoming throughout our visit. My wife and I have found our new favorite Italian restaurant in the Tacoma area, and we can't wait to return to try the NY Strip Stroganoff!
This little Hidden Gem is on Bridgeport. If you want an elegant and romantic evening, this is definitely your place. With so many Italian restaurants in the Big Chain it is very refreshing to go to a place that is a little slice of Italy here in University Place. I have several occasions here... Everything's great. Everything from the appetizers, wine list, entrees and desserts - perfect! You have a small hidden courtyard in front of your back, which is absolutely divine! It's perfect for a bigger group, maybe a girl night outside or after hours. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. If you haven't dined here, I highly recommend that you try.
My family has made a habit of coming here because of both the amazing service and even better food. Like any truly Italian restaurant, this is the place to go when you want to take your time and have a relaxing, delicious meal with friends or family. The menu is small, but you can't go wrong with anything on there (my personal favorite is the bolognese), and the wine selection is hand picked, varying depending on vintage. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Tacoma.
