Contribute Feedback What John Hickmott doesn't like about Tijuana Flats:
The manager was too busy micromanaging his employees to greet me. Then he berated his employee for not greeting me while I walked out and went to a different restaurant. View all feedback.
No longer the tasty and fun place it used to be.When my family comes back in town they always wanna hit Tflats but after the 3rd meh experience we will find another fun spot. The prices have also gone up while quality and options have gone way down.Want nachos with melty cheese? Don’t go here.Want a taco without water? Don’t go here. Our tacos literally were soggy, water pooled the plate.Sad, this place used the be IT.Also like nasty dirty, which it has been, I know they are limited on help but it’s consistently discussing so I wonder what the kitchen looks like…Anyways if you want cheap good Mexican this is not it.If you like hot sauce this is your place for retail sauce.Dietary restrictions: No longer have wheat options, no more low fat options.
Moved here 4 years ago and gave this place WAY too many chances because I love most Tijuana Flats in other locations. I’m not sure what’s happening with this one but it seems they are always understaffed and irritated and it’s gone downhill to the point that I won’t step foot in this one again. The final straw was when I ordered two soft tacos (7 months pregnant at the time) they took around 20 minutes to come out and when they did there was nothing on the taco except runny beef. It looked absolutely disgusting. So I politely tell the girl at the counter this is unacceptable and she acted super rude and blames the kitchen and says they’ll fix it and add toppings but I was honestly worried about food poisoning so I said please just give me a refund. The manager comes out and gives no apology and acts like he could care less. I never really leave reviews but this one has had me upset for a while and I just wish the franchise would come in and fix the problems here.
The food was mediocre, at best. After ordering a house margarita, the server suggested I add a syrup flavor to prevent it from tasting “watered down”. She explained that the sugar in the syrup would slow the rate at which the ice would thaw. Since I did not want a fruity drink, I ordered it without fruit flavored syrup. Upon tasting, I realized that the margarita was already “watered down” when it arrived. Obviously, the restaurant was promoting the additional syrup to mask the fact that the margarita was ice and water with literally a drop of other ingredients. Since I refuse to pay $10 for what amounted to a glass of Kool-aid, I sent it back. Will not go back!
Horrible customer service provided by rude cashier girl in black face mask.
I’ve purchased food here in the past but never dined in. The ambiance is nice. The music choice in the background was pretty good my little ones stood up to dance to it. Theres room for improvement with the customer service. Back to the food. I tried to like the dine in experience but the service and food weren’t good. The tortillas were kind of hard and the ground beef was more on the cold side. My kids had a tough time biting there food. I had to cut out the hard part. The dessert snacks was pretty good. I’m not sure I’d recommend this place with confidence if someone asked where to eat in the area, nor am I sure I’d eat here again.
