Do not order from this restaurant or use Uber Eats for this establishment. After placing an order through Uber Eats, the Georgian restaurant kept pushing back the delivery time multiple times, even during their business hours. This left me no choice but to cancel the order. I never received my food and my calls were not answered. Every time I called, the same man answered the phone and lied about the general manager being available. When asked for a follow-up call, the supposed general manager, Daniel, was never in. This was a very disappointing experience with terrible customer service. I will not be giving this place another chance as they have taken my money without delivering the products or service.
I have been a long-time fan of Georgio's, having grown up in the Heights and always enjoying their food. However, my recent experience at their location was extremely disappointing. My friend ordered a pizza for me without cheese due to my lactose intolerance, but when it was delivered with cheese, they refused to give a refund or replacement. After multiple calls and arguments, they finally agreed to redeliver the pizza without chicken, despite it being included in the original order. The whole situation was frustrating and showed a lack of accountability on their part. As someone with experience in the restaurant and customer service industry, I found their handling of the situation to be completely unacceptable.
The restaurant appears to have a 3-star rating, but the food quality is more like 1.5 stars. I couldn't even finish my meal. The cheese in the calzone was strange and didn't taste melted, making it the worst calzone I've ever had. The interior of the restaurant was dirty. It would be beneficial for regional management to visit and improve the overall experience. I feel sorry for the lone worker who was managing everything.
Since the change in ownership and management in August 2022, the quality of this restaurant has greatly improved. I recommend picking up your order rather than using Door Dash, as the food is much fresher and more delicious that way. Door Dash drivers often take a long time to deliver and the food can arrive cold. Additionally, you can't request extra cheese through Door Dash - you'll have to call and pick up your order instead.
