Dongpo Kitchen - Universal

After having enjoyed a good lunch at Dongpo Kitchen when visiting Universal Studios, I had an issue with the bill. Through my fist review, I received a prompt message from the general manager. After returning home (in the Netherlands) this issue was very kindly resolved by him. Thanks once again for your swift response! When visiting CA in the future I certainly will repay a visit to your restaurant. Both your kitchen and service are of a high quality.

We had an exhaustive day in the Universal and exit around 8:10PM. I was not sure where to eat and then saw this one on the way to the parking lot. I decided to give it a try. It exceeded my expectation and is authentic enough for me (much better than Panda express or PF Chang). We ordered no spicy, or one spicy since we don't want spicy food and it was good/mild. I had sour spicy soup, fried rice, sour spicy noodle, and two normal noodles, all quick/fast food since it's so late. It's either very good or we were starving. We finished around 9PM. It's good to have a warm dinner after a windy day.

This place hosts a wide array of delicious food and an incredibly attentive staff. Don’t be disguised by the low review rating. I almost didn’t eat here when I saw the review score. The egg rolls were delectable and the dumplings perfect. Oh, and the honey iced green tea was superb! I can’t hype this place up any more but it is truly a gem at City Walk.

The food was not as good, but the DanDan was really tasty. I thought the food prices were too high for its quality. Be aware they pre charge a 20% tip on the bill without giving you a choice. Not too happy.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Don't listen to those 1-star reviewers, they just like to complain. I went there last week, the food was amazing! I love their pork buns and the duck was really good. I am going back to CityWalk tomorrow, just to eat there! Thank you for your services.
