surprising number of vegan/vegetarian options. the waitress had been very familiar with courts and knew that my court needed the mayo-free guave (do not know that could even have been an ingredient.) View all feedback.
The waitor was very knowledgeable about the vegan options. Anything can be made vegan with protein options of tofu (marinated in tomatillo sauce), beans, or guacamole (must specify vegan so they make without mayonnaise). The menu specifies what's vegan/vegetarian and what's not (there is one of their four sauces that is not vegan). They cook in oil instead of butter or grease. The salsa and chips were plentiful. We loved the salsa. The enchiladas, puffy tacos, rice, and beans were all delicious. It was a really good experience. We'll come back next time we are in the area.
Some of the best puffy tacos I had. I love them not only swimming in fat like so many of them out there. I also loved that my child's meal could be ordered with watermelon instead of beans and rice. He would have liked the beans well, but the option of the fruit is a very welcome change! And the watermelon was DELICIOUS! My husband loved the brown rice and the enchiladas, and I really liked the guacamole. The only complaint I have is that the corstortillas were a bit dry, but everything else was so good, I could overlook it. It's nice to try this place! Four stars!
Sometimes you had one of those days, and you just need something to go right. For me there is something comfort food and a hug of a sweet waitress. It's not like me 't appreciate surprise and adventure, but consistency and reliability is less trouble. Some days I'm just longing and I'm going to the Fiesta Patio. I don't have to think about what to order, not really need a menu, I'll get the dish with an additional enchilada and an icy tea. In fact, I don't really have to ask for anything unless I want something else. If I feel wild and crazy, I can get the soup just to keep them on their toes. I don't feel like my mother used to say "to eat greasy Mexican again". So Fiesta Patio gets a 4.5 of me. My highest rating since the 1-5 system. I have decided that I should reserve a perfect 5-point score for a time when I get the Heimlich from a blond waitress, possibly at Hooters.
40 years-not months. You'd think a 40-year-old restaurant would get some things right? The advantage of Geezer status is a LONG data reference bank to make comparisons. Last Friday, my last visit to the late 70s was on the Austin Highway, Patio's previous location. This location is decorated in an appealing Tex-Mex theme, clean and has experienced and cheerful employees. I ordered the chalupas with beef. My wife had the Puffy taco enchilada combi plate. Both were immediately plated and served. The taste and taste was great and somewhat different. The slightly different taste is due to the absence of Manteca (lard) in this food. I will return ASAP to try the cheese Enchiladas. Good forty years ago, excellent now! When you stay at Pat Booker 1604, visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!
Get a burger really!. I never had a meal in La Fiesta as DIDN'T include cheese enchiladas, which is how much I love them. The new table card from La Fiesta showed the Burger Special, with iced tea frits, for $6.50. A large patty, skillfully cooked to be juicy, filled with cheese, served open face with salad, tomatoes, pickles, rolls slightly baked with Mayo mustard. Excellent frits can also replace another page if you want to replace the frits. All right!
