Was San Diego Johnny S at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. a mag?
Do Not eat in the park. Take your time to come here! First off the food is excellent ! The food in the park is so expensive and not that good. Here you get the Forrest Gump experience with great music and an incredible atmosphere. Very clean bathrooms and restaurant. Belen and Araceli are SO NICE. View all feedback.
What Sky T dislikes about Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.:
During a recent visit from family, we dined at this restaurant in the City Walk area. The service was exceptionally friendly, and our server, Lelani (not sure about the spelling), was very attentive and helpful. Since it’s a chain restaurant, the food quality can vary, but they had some specials, including a shrimp sandwich that I found quite enjoyable. I ordered the Bourbon Mahi Mahi and shrimp plate. The Mahi Mahi... View all feedback.

Such a fun experience! Gotta try the fish and chips a bit pricy but well worth it. The waitress will play forest gump trivia with your table if you're lucky!
We love having lunch here, especially because we're big fans of shrimp. The wide variety of fish and seafood options is impressive. The service is excellent, and the restaurant concept is really well thought out. It's a fantastic place, and I highly recommend it for lunch.
After a tiring yet exciting day at Universal Studios, we were famished and thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant. This was my second visit, and it was truly a wonderful experience. I loved every moment!
We were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant after a long day at Universal. While it has a cheerful theme, we were delighted by the high quality of the food, which was truly delicious. The service was friendly as well.
Loved!. Loved this place!!!! After a long day we needed more sustenance so stopped in during our City Walk tour. I actually got the sampler for my entree, it had the BEST hush puppies I've ever had, two sorts of shrimp and some spicy chicken tenders. My husband and sister also said theirs was quite good. Being a former server they have the BEST little system of flipping a sign over when you need something, smart! Also, mini movie trivia at the end... would of been better if we had gotten a discount for getting all the answers right! :
Nestled in Universal City Walk, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. invites visitors with its vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of the beloved film. Diners are treated to friendly service and appealing meal presentations. While some menu items, like the shrimp sampler, received high praise for their flavors, others fell short, with overcooked dishes and slow service noted by diners. Additionally, the restaurant ambiance offers a fun, themed dining experience, making it an enjoyable stop after a long day at the park. However, patrons are advised to explore other dining options, as experiences can vary significantly.

I always find great . Superb and the ambience speaks for itself
How can a restaurant themed around Forrest Gump run out of chocolate? They really need to plan better. Additionally, our waiter mistakenly entered the wrong appetizer but still charged us for it. The chef was supposedly told to make garlic shrimp, but apparently, they confused it with Cajun seasoning. Sadly, these kinds of oversights are becoming all too common nowadays.
My overall experience at Bubba Gump was quite enjoyable. I have positive remarks about the service, the food, and the movie-themed view. It's definitely a place worth visiting. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, including several shrimp dishes, chicken, and steak, among others. There's also a Bubba Gump store where you can find memorabilia and souvenirs.
Over half an hour to get my food from the time I ordered it. And business was slow, according to the management.
I've never been to Bubba Gump before. After a long day of visiting Universal Studios, we needed a proper meal. Our server, Robbie, was great. We had an appy, Across America platter. It was OK. The spinach dip could have been more warm. My wife and I had the Bourbon St Mahi and Shrimp. It was so good. The fish was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were so good, swiped through the sauce on the plate. It was very tasty. My dad had the jambalaya, and he said it was very good as well.

Oh my shrimp! I had the most fin tastic experience at Bubba Gump in Universal Studios thanks to the beautiful and bubbly Liz! From the moment I walked in, Liz greeted me with the biggest smile and made me feel like a VIP. She was quick with recommendations and made sure my drink was never empty. But what really blew me out of the water was her exceptional customer service. She made me feel like part of the Bubba Gump family, checking in on me throughout my meal and making sure everything was perfect. I felt like I could've stayed there all day chatting with her she was just that amazing! Overall, if you're looking for a great time and even better service, ask for Liz at Bubba Gump in Universal Studios. You won't be disappointed in fact, you'll be shell ebrating all the way home!
The staff was awesome and the good was great! Came for my wife's birthday and they were super nice and attentive to our needs. Our server was Roland and he was the best! They gave her a birthday ice cream sandwich and they cut it in half with sprinkles and all! We never asked for it, you have to come here if you are in the area!
After a long day being in the Universal Studios, we decided to go here for dinner. It was my first time and they were super busy but we were seated almost immediately. Ordered jambalaya and some sort of fried mix of everything seafood. The jambalaya was uh-mazing!! There were 2 tables celebrating birthday and the staff would come to the table and sing for you. It was a great experience as it was my first time in Bubba Gump Shrimp. Loved the movie, loved the food!
The food was good. Since I have a shrimp allergy, my friend ordered calamari and kids' meals, even though we are all over 10 years old. The service was excellent! I really enjoyed the ambiance, especially since it's located in Universal Studios.
Service was good and attentive. The plating was attractive, and I got a free glass with my drink. So, that was good. Now for the bad: Getting a dessert to go was really slow. The food was just... meh. It was edible, but disappointing after hearing good things about it. How does one overcook shrimp? How does a key lime pie not even taste like lime?? If you're in the Universal City Walk area, there are so many other neat choices. I would probably recommend trying somewhere else.

????Fun, Themed Restaurant with Friendly Service???? This restaurant is downright photographable! If you're a Forest Gump fan, there's plenty of memorabilia to take home, subtle (and not-so-subtle) nods to enjoy, and inspired dishes to taste. I ate herein 2020 and had a great experience. The service is super friendly and treats you like family. Although attentive, it's alsohands-off, giving you plenty of room to breathe while you dine. The coaster on your table allows you to signal whether you needservice to stop by or not. I couldn't believe the excellent memory our waitress had. I went with a group of four, and she nailedevery last detail of our order without so much as writing it down! My salmon dish satisfied my taste buds, arriving on abeautifully homey platter. The portion size didn't quite fill me up, but that's the only complaint I can leverage at Bubba GumpShrimp Co. I highly recommend reserving ahead of time if you can, as the line gets out the door, especially toward dinnerhours.

On the fence about this one unfortunately. Service was a little slow even though plenty of tables were open. Shrimp basket was 5.5 out of 10. The Salmon dish was a solid 8 of 10. Staff was friendly but nothing above and beyond. Its easy to get lost in thenostalgic vibe but Overall, I feel like we over paid for decent food. Not sure Forest would have been as thrill on this visithere as he was for Ice Cream!
Plays off the movie well, enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. Our server did great. The food wasn't good, the shrimp were over cooked for mine they weren't cooked in the spices. Wife shrimp cocktail was bordering on rubbery. Wife had a key lime pie thathad no real flavor. We over heard several tables around us having issues. Wouldn't try it again, this was our first time tryingthem.
Food sucked. The shrimp was not cut and cleaned all the way. There was no garlic on the garlic shrimpers net catch. My wife's mashed potatoes were forgotten and we had to ask about them. The waiter came back after he clearly missed putting them and saidthat they had to make a new batch. Had to ask two different times to get drinks refilled. As for atmosphere we didn't get anyForest trivia. Don't give this place your money for long john silver quality food. Will not be coming back.
