What 2G (1 7 months ago on Google doesn't like about Green Village Restaurant 3:
I tried this place 3 yrs ago and the fried rice was so good. But recently I visited couple times and it was so disappointing. The fried rice and noodles lacked flavor. The freshness of the tuna in poke was bad. The color was dull and slightly slimy and not firm. The salmon was great though. Its either a hit or miss. Try to go when they get fresh fish View all feedback.
Duuuude, the POKE BOWLS! Seriously, one of my favorite meals I've had in a long timeThe owner really takes his time to craft them right.
I finally made my way over to Green Valley Restaurant.
Unfortunately after eating here three times and having awful food I have to post. I came here once a few weeks ago and got pot stickers. They were delicious. Then within the past two weeks I ordered to go twice. Potstickers, Sweet and Sour chicken, and orange Chicken. the rice was bland...the sweet and sour chicken had huge chunks of uncooked vegetables on top of soggy breaded chicken with hardly any sauce. the orange chicken tasted HORRIBLE. I am not a picky eater but the flavor was so off. no orange flavor at all. tasted like straight cooking oil. and how can you mess up potstickers...they were burnt fried and did not have hardly any filling inside them. like a huge ball of fried dough with no flavor. I dont know if its a different cook from. the first time I came here or what. But after wasting 40$ on 1 meal and a couple appetizers 2x sad to say I will not be returning. They need to reevaluate their menu and find someone that knows what they are doing in the kitchen. Rarely do I complain about food. But this was too much. My partner who eats almost anything also had to push the plate away. I wish I had my money back.
I have been coming here on and off for a few years now and I never had bad experience with their food or service. It's great to see the family business and brining their hawaiian flare into the menu option. Love their poke (flown in daily from the Hawaii) and meal options. Tonight I gone out of my usual comfort zone of my fav twice cooked pork and went with the orange chicken. I must say this is my 2nd time in my almost a half century life eating orange chicken cooked with real orange peel! Most other places just use orange juice or concentrate. You can taste the ginger in the dish as well. My other dish was the shrimp with garlic. Also wonderful. Garlicky plump juicy shrimps. Love their poke. My new found fav is their Japanese scallops with hawaiian limu (seaweed).
