What Jesus Champlin doesn't like about Gateway To India:
Buffet was not ready immediately and was not very good on this day. little disappointed. also the bathroom was very dirty. it wasn't here in a few years and seems like it went downhill. View all feedback. What Steve likes about Gateway To India:
First time visit to this restaurant and first time for Indian food. We dined early on a Firday night (5:30) so there were only 4-5 tables of patrons. This likely also contributed to all the attention we had by the wait staff. We ordered Marsla chicken and Jinga shrimp. My wife doesn't do spice so she order the chicken mild. I wasn't sure if hot really meant hot so I order Med for the shrimp. Both dishes had very good... View all feedback.

read moreGateway to India in Tacoma offers a buffet option that was a mixed bag according to some diners. While the food was not bad, there were complaints about items running out and taking a long time to be replenished. Some also found certain dishes lacking in flavor and substance, describing their meal as disappointing. However, others found Gateway to India to be a top choice for Indian cuisine in the area, praising the garlic naan and heat levels of the dishes. The restaurant's consistent quality, delicious vegan options, and attentive service have earned it loyal customers over the years. Despite some hiccups with reservations and buffet management, the flavorful dishes and accommodating service at Gateway to India make it a worthwhile dining destination.
