What Linnie Leffler doesn't like about EL Alamo Restaurant:
Terrible place no flavor in food and to top it off looks like I was getting food from my tias house the soup in a cottage cheese container and the guy that charged was rude never again View all feedback.
After the coffee I saw not one, but two dead mosquitoes in my coffee cup. Moreover, the service was not good, so we decide to cancel the order and go otherwise. in the restaurant looked clean.
The personal is very friendly; the food was great as it remembered the cooking art in the house, not processed or frozen. love the margaritas, these are the real deals! but the highlight were their signature micheladas, made w/ all the works!
This place is just high. reminds me of home cooked meal from my mother! the staff was really friendly and the food was fast! also that serg kerl can a killer margarita
Staff is friendly... The steak and margaritas are ok to good. But everything else we have tried on the menu is like going to a friend's house and their mom is a really bad cook. Shrimp cocktail was mainly water, Alamo burger taste like cheap reprocessed hotdog, fajitas were sad and tasted like the boiled leftover meat. Every one that ate with us had bad diarrhea after eating here, thought it might be a fluke and we came back a couple more times to try other items and were were equally disappointed and got equally as sick. Not sure how you can mess up Mexican food this close to border. But if you are constipated and enjoy unseasoned/bland boiled food that resembles Mexican cuisine give this place a try.
I didn't go there, and haven't been there in years. I just passed right by it. Don't be so nosy
