The Korean short ribs are a standout for their incredible flavor, while the sliders and chicken sandwich are equally satisfying. The ambience is cool but can get a bit loud, especially when live music kicks in. The beer selection is solid, but some drinks may fall short. Despite some minor issues, the top-notch service by the friendly staff, led by professional Myles Walsh, makes it a worthwhile dining experience. Overall, Taprock Beer Bar Refuge is a must-visit for great food, drinks, and service.
Not many vegan options (more vegetarian options), but more than similar places and enough for us to make the trip. we had both the Butternuss-Quash-Baby-Kalee-Salat, squash Hummus-Wrap, squashta (a oak filled with Veggie noodles) and slider. (yes, we like squash). all is very good. watch, the dressing has honey so they need to ask for a vegan replacement. the mood is casual and welcoming. everything I have and clean. only 4 stars because the service is simply ok, but, definitiw will be back.
I had a simple natalate that was much more tasty than I expected from a simple natalate. a few French pommes. and the Korean “gnocchi”, the tasty but so spicy it was limit unpleasant. I couldn't finish. want to go back and try another vegan option. they have a few items on the menu that are vegan-friendly or vegetarian and can be made vegan by omitting cheese. the server I had was very helpful and courteous, and checked with the kitchen staff to ensure that my meal was completely vegan before I ordered.

I had a simple side salad that was much more delicious when I expected from a simple side salad... some French pommes... and the Korean “gnocchi”, which was tasty, but so sharp it was borderline unpleasant. I always enjoyed the food and drinks at Taprock. Excellent cocktail and beer selection!
