Dinty's, a long-loved restaurant with great food and service, faced criticism post-lockdown due to changes in quality. One customer experienced issues with food intolerances and inadequate plate presentation. In contrast, others praised the fresh, delicious seafood and welcoming atmosphere. While some noted the owner's rudeness, others found him friendly and personable. Overall, it seems that Dinty's may have room for improvement in consistency and customer service, but loyal fans continue to enjoy their meals.

Was Anonym at Dintys a mag?
We stopped into Dinty's for lunch while touring the West Cork region. There was nowhere else open on the day in Unionhall so didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The bar was very neat, clean tidy we were asked for our Covid passes immediately. There were just two other people there before us but within minutes all available seats were taken. What Anonym dislikes about Dintys:

Lived in Union Hall 20 years ago and went back to visit. All the pubs have changed but the welcome in Dinty’s hasn’t. A chat with the owner, Martin was followed by an impromptu lunch. Chicken salad, seafood chowder and deep fried Brie with a tasty salad garnish. Great value and a very pleasant stop.
Excellent, had a lovely experience. We had our small dog with us, not a problem. Plenty of seats inside and out. Friendly service, we weren't that hungry so had 2 starters and drinks. Excellent value for money. They even brought some water for our spolit pup. Food lovely I wish is was hungrier. We will be back
First time back in Dintys , for 20 years, what a lovely place. Food excellent, good T bone with all the trimmings. As good as it gets, food and price wise . Namaste
Very nice seafood. Relaxed atmosphere. After your drive, take the (short) walk around over the causeway, there a lovely view over Glandore Harbour.
