Brussel sprouts app cooked nicely, firm but charred and covered in balsamic. French Martini was stiff. It was shortly after 5pm so we were the only table and the staff was very loud. We both ordered the meatloaf and were very pleased. Meatloaf is moist and well seasoned, just enough asparagus, and nice mashed potatoes my only complaint, the mashed potatoes were cold. Fabulous service. And beautifully decorated for th... View all feedback.
Always a treat at Frankie's. Stopped in last night for apps and drinks during Snowmageddon 2018! Only four at the bar and the cable was out but Jessica was so fun and the food and drinks were delicious. She put a DVD of old blue eyes on the tv and we had a grand time. The five appetizers were outstanding! For having only one cook in the kitchen because of the weather, we were surprised to get everything at once and the perfect temps. Bang bang shrimp, roasted garlic, crab cakes, calamari and ahi tuna wonderful and fresh! Tender calamari, spicy shrimp and tuna the perfect place pink. Jessica made a delicious virgin cocktail for one of our party members who came with his own recipe. How nice of her. Ended meal with two awesome entrees to share the best seafood mac n cheese I've ever had and chicken Marsala that was so tender you didn't need a knife. Thanks Frankie's, for a scrumptious evening!!!
This review is a bit late we were there in the first week in August 2020. We typically stop in during our annual summer vacation in UP. First of all, Frankies has done an excellent job in adapting to the requirements of COVID, with distanced/limited seating, mask requirements, paper menus, and additional sanitization. You can feel comfortable about a dining experience at Frankies. Our server was not only attentive, but also friendly and accommodating a real pleasure. Food was up to its usual standards. We have frequented Frankies for over 15 years, and there have been a few periods where menu changes or staff/management changes have impacted the experience. Not so now. Both the food and service met the standards we have come to expect for Frankies. While they may culinarily be a notch below Timothy's, they remain one of the best dining experiences in SW Michigan, and certainly beat anything New Buffalo currently offers (unless Sage were to re open).
Today the Girls wanted to take mom to Frankie's for Brunch . Great choice loved the stuffed french toast with fresh blueberries biscuits and gray , fried chicken , **** mary's . And so much more. I love food that has flavor .
We've been going to Frankie's for several years, albeit very infrequently since we live in Minnesota. We have always enjoyed the attentive service, the excellent food, and the wine cocktail selections. This year we were back on a brisk, heading towards winter, Thursday evening. Tony was our server and, since it was a quiet night, we had a chance to talk a little. He made some spot on recommendations, including the newly made clam chowder, and the shrimp jambalaya. The house baked apple pie was amazing! It was a delight to hear his passion for food and for the experience of Frankie's. We spent some extra time enjoying our drinks and talking a very relaxing evening. We will be back on our next trip for sure! Thanks, Frankie's! It was a perfect end to a very good day.
The only place for tasty, properly prepared and plated dinner in Union Pier. Good service and easy to walk to. Our waiter had a personal pride in making us comfortable and satiated without being overbearing. We will be back! Thanks.
