Candlelight - Union Dale
Candlelight
Description
Candlelight Inn offers a mixed dining experience, with highlights and low points that cater to a diverse clientele. Guests rave about the sizable portions, including generous cheesesteaks and flavorful ribs, complemented by friendly and attentive service. However, inconsistencies mar the experience, such as occasional food preparation issues and an unwelcoming atmosphere. While the cozy candlelit decor and inviting dining room entice diners, some find the ambiance lacking. Overall, with its hearty offerings and commendable service, Candlelight Inn remains a notable spot, especially for those seeking large meals after a day outdoors.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. While it may have the atmosphere of a modest sports bar and does not offer a great selection of wine, their homemade burgers and fries really stand out. The burgers and fries are delicious and made in-house. The cheese steak sandwich is also well-made and tasty. If you're craving a beer, burger, and fries while watching a football game, this is the perfect spot. I highly recommend it for a simple and enjoyable meal. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
I recently discovered this amazing restaurant! I dined here with a group of 8 and we were all impressed by the food, service, and atmosphere. The portions were massive and everything we ordered was delicious. We opted for the 50 wings for $35 deal, which included honey BBQ, honey mustard, and spicy flavors, as well as various pasta dishes. The food came out quickly and we were all satisfied with our choices. I particularly enjoyed the shrimp and bay scallop scampi, which had an abundance of scallops. The prices were reasonable and I would definitely return if given the chance.
The portions at this place are huge. The 14 pizza easily serves 2 and maybe 3, or even 4 if you're not starving. But it was not anything to write home about probably a frozen crust with sauce and cheese (too much) added. The ribs were great tender and with a sweet and smoky BBQ sauce, with Mac and Cheese and garlic bread on the side. The giant pretzel is also delicious. The burger was a disappointment too small and the bun was a little stale. The dining room is great, with a fireplace and candles each table. The service was very good attentive and friendly.
The food is excellent and the interior has a fine dining atmosphere, catering to skiers and snowmobilers at the bar.
This is a charming restaurant near the Elk mountain. The waitress was very patient and accommodating when our party of 8 changed our orders from salad to the house Maryland crab soup. The pasta portions here are staggering and makes for two meals. They also give a gigantic serving of of fresh clams on the pasta diablo, which is rare. Candlelight is a superb place to grab dinner after a long day of skiing!
