Despite its small size and limited seating, the restaurant offers a wide variety of menu items that are sure to satisfy any craving for Filipino flavors. The food is consistently tasty and the service is fast and friendly. Customers rave about the Adobo Chicken, Java Rice, Pork Adobo, Fried Siomai, and Sinigang na Bangus, among other dishes. While the restaurant may not be ideal for big groups due to its size and parking limitations, those who are able to dine in or order takeout are sure to have a memorable meal. Overall, Toppings Too is a hidden gem worth visiting for anyone looking for a taste of authentic Filipino cuisine.
Toppings Too is a popular place for Filipino food. This is one of several restaurants in other areas such as Toppings Juan in South San Francisco and Toppings Three in Santa Clara. Conveniently located in a relatively quiet area of Union City, CA. The seat is limited in view of the size of the restaurant, although not allowing you to stop from enjoying what they have to offer. There are always rows out of the door; it is necessary to cook some sarap. Fast and friendly service. I have enjoyed practically everything on the menu between different excursions and often revisit lechon kawali, inihaw na liempo, crispy pata and grilled tocino. Sizzling sisig will sell out quickly; Therefore, you can call in advance or simply stop knowing if it is available. This was the first place in the USA I tried dinuguan rice plate and it certainly not for an authentic flavor dissapoint that I remember when you travel to the Philippines many times. Thanks to all Toppings Too and supporters, this is a great place.
Great Filipino food, from crispy para to lieutenant and more in between. The fried chicken tasted like Max's and the sinigang na hipon tasted like a homemade meal. The place is small (4 tables with dividends) and they do not take reservations so that you wait during peak hours, but it is worth waiting.
I've been here for so long, and every time I travel to the Bay area, it's always a place to eat, you'll never go wrong and the kitchen is amazing. I've never eaten anything that wasn't nice of this facility, and I never had this experience.
This place is not a joke! You have the crispy Pata I had when they say sizzling plate it sizzling hot! Huge portion, almost perfectly cooked : . The bathroom is outside the premises, limited parking space and a bit cramped inside, but then again I forgot all this when I begin to stuff my face with food. The food came out quickly.
Crispy pata is very crunchy. My favorite is the liempo. Java rice is a must. Mouth watering. As close to home cooked food as possible.
