La Unica Bakery - Union City

I recently visited a cafe in Union City, NJ that serves some of the best cafe con leche in town. The baked goods, especially the guava pastries, are delicious. I went on Wednesday, 16 February 2022 and found out that they only offer takeout and require customers to wear a mask due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, they were out of Boba tea and do not have a minimum credit card payment. Despite this, my total purchase came to $6.10 and I was able to pay with my card. I highly recommend trying their sandwiches, egg dishes, and of course, their cafe con leche.

The smoothies had a nice earthy flavor, but lacked banana taste and were too watery, icy, and sweet. The cake slices were too small for the price, and both the red velvet and strawberry cakes were very dry.

The sugar on the pudin was burned. the pudin was dry. I told you. do it well and do it well.

Love this bakery. from the variety of Korean inspired sweets, cakes and pastries to the cheap sandwiches. I always come here when I desire a good soft creamy desert with a hot cup coffee. I recommend to stop and take a ham, egg and cheese sandwich with a coffee. they and their wallet will not be disappointed. their deserts are great because they are too sweet and after eating a whole piece of cake its hard to feel guilty. its proximity to my home and allows a quick opportunity to pick up a contract after a long day at work or if your PMS monster needs taming.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was disappointed with the Mango cake - it was very dry and didn't taste like mango at all. On the other hand, the empanada was good. However, based on my experience with the cake, I don't think I will be returning. I prefer the restaurants on Central Avenue in Jersey City much more.
