I can honestly say that I wish we had a restaurant serving this level of authentic country food in Cape Town. On the first night, I ordered the Venison Pie with Samp and vegetables, and it was absolutely outstanding. The following night, I went for the curried mutton tripe, which is my favorite dish, and they did not disappoint. I concluded my meal with a delicious peanut pie and cream. The value for money is exceptional, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. An added highlight was the lovely fireplace!

For our mai... read more Our first stop on our road trip was dinner at Bordeaux restaurant. We started by sharing the Skaapstertjies, which were incredibly juicy and tender. For our main courses, the three of us ordered Boontjie-bredie, chicken pie, and lamb curry. Each dish was delicious, and the portions were generous. By the time we headed to our guest house, we were both full and very satisfied.

Lovely little spot for a stop over on the road, definitely nicer than a roadhouse.
