Café and Café Really nice team that delivers very good coffee and is helpful. Classic Italian and cold brew. Buy some nice snacks and various coffees as gifts etc. Almost the store went for the first time, although in the center of the city. Coffee not too burned, not too sour, slow frying ensures that it is for the stomach, high in caffeine content. Hard to find such good places in Umea! Prices ok for Northern Swede... Best coffee in Umeå,the level of professionalism regarding coffee blend and taste is off the charts. It is a MUST.
Costas is an absolute gem. No matter if you 're just in Umeå for an hour or live here permanently, it 's the one must visit place I can think of. Amazing coffee and great people, we 're simply lucky to have this place! Only caveat is that the store/cafe really is on the small side, but it more than makes up for it with quality and charm.
Pay attention to the opening hours, as this is a roastery primarily and a coffee shop only on the side. I think it’s only open 11-4 Wed, Thu, Fri, and maybe Sat. BUT, if you do go during those hours expect world class coffee served in a wide variety of formats with many brew options. The owner is super friendly and will be happy to let you taste things. Very reasonable prices on beans given the quality, and there are packs ready to go at 250, 500, and 1000g, in a variety of blends and single origin.
If in Umeå and interested in coffee, it is a definite MUST DO!
