What User doesn't like about Great Eastern:
Disgusting food. They serve thai dishes that tastes nothing like thai food. Nor does it look like thai food. Had way better quality food in Stockholm for half the price. Only my friend liked her meal. But she lives in Zurich, which isn't great for Asian cuisine. View all feedback.
Big east always delivers! many dishes that they can eat to choose, including sushi for 109 sek/pers is a bargain.

I have eaten here before and this place is truly amazing! The service is great and the food is delicious.
This restaurant serves westernized Chinese cuisine that is of low quality and not authentic Chinese food. The Szechuan beef was not prepared in the Szechuan style, but rather resembled something from Panda Express with a gloopy texture. It seems that those who rate this place highly may be more accustomed to Swedish-Chinese dishes. I opted to order off the menu instead of eating from the buffet, as I did not feel safe doing so. The lukewarm eggrolls were brought out within a minute of us being seated, leading me to believe they were simply taken from the buffet. Additionally, the server's attempt to guess my ethnicity upon entering made me uncomfortable, and I noticed that no one in the restaurant was wearing masks. Overall, this restaurant was a waste of money for subpar food quality. For better Chinese cuisine in Umeå, I recommend trying Shang Hai Restaurant, although it also serves westernized Chinese dishes.
