Tasca Pizza - Umdloti
Tasca Pizza
Description
A breezy seaside eatery serves standout seafood pizza, pasta and gelato with memorable ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere, but experiences vary widely. Some diners praise fresh flavors, attentive staff and excellent beachfront ambiance; others report slow drink service, sparse pizza toppings, inconsistent tableware and managerial lapses that dent value at higher prices. Takeaway and dine-in quality can differ—worth trying for the view and signature dishes, but manage expectations on service and portioning.

Although the view is great and the atmosphere is pleasant I almost choked when having to pay R75 for a regular sized plain vanilla milkshake. The ice cream used was clearly nothing la-di-da and there was zero effort made in the presentation. I love myself a milkshake treat occasionally and at that price this was probably one of the worst I've had to date Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I recently ordered the Smoked Rib and Bugatti pizzas as a takeaway and was quite disappointed. While the bases were thin and crispy, and the crust was tasty, the pizzas seriously lacked in other areas. There was hardly any cheese, and the toppings were spread so sparsely it felt more like a standard-sized pizza rather than a large one. To pay R470 for two pizzas that lacked flavour and were this poorly topped just doesn't feel worth it. The quality didn't match the price at all. Food was devine. Both pasta dishes were some of the best we've had. Topped it off with Gelato. Service was excellent. Meals enjoyed whilst looking at the ocean.
