Two stars for the food (see below ! The service was polite and fairly quick nothing to complain about here. Eat If you've ever traveled to France and eaten at an average brasserie (and I'm sure many patrons of this restaurant have , you would find the meat dishes mediocre at best. The food may be okay for a German restaurant, but honestly why can't German chefs learn from the French? The tartare was just a piece of minced meat, hardly seasoned. It seemed like the meat had been thawed just before serving, making it impossible to enjoy the flavor. It was also surprisingly greasy, which is pretty unusual for tartare. The burger was a disaster. It was well done (why? and reminded me of McDonald’s – or worse, Hans im Glück – only drier. Beyond that, he was just boring. Order a burger in France: there you get a feast, not just a piece of meat between two halves of a bun. The steaks were good, but not exceptional. They were served alone on the plate no sauce, no accompaniments just a lonely piece of meat. It felt more like food intake than the dining experience one would expect with a steak at such a restaurant. Interestingly, the sides (mushrooms, artichokes, lettuce were fantastic. Maybe the restaurant should become vegetarian? In summary: The meat dishes deserve two stars, mainly because of the poor price performance ratio. For the same money you could travel to Strasbourg and enjoy a meal that is two to three times better and cheaper. service The service was good, but I have one comment. There couldn't be better service: even if I had my eye on a much more expensive steak, I received PERFECT advice on what exactly suited my taste. The Flat Iron Beef was some of the best meat I've ever tasted!!! The side dishes (potato gratin perfect creaminess, green salad crisp and fresh with a perfect dressing that wasn't too sweet or sour) and the wine rounded off the meal PERFECTLY. The only improvement would be the telephone service, where you couldn't get through even after several calls and weren't called back. However, I went there afterward by chance and still got a seat, and as I said, service, food, ambience, PERFECT!!!
