Mergen Bator - Ulan-Ude

Very nice hotel with the most friendly things in town. Everyone speaks in English, which is very important. New Year's Night was a great idea

Nice stay!! Very close to the train station and the city centre, 7min walk. Really good breakfast, large room with comfortable bed and amenities. The café and restaurant with delicious dishes. The cafe waiter had a cold and cough and spit out. Be careful!! The receptionist (very friendly) let us go to the spa after check-out because our train is left at 4 p.m. New and complete gym, swimming pool and sauna. Good target! I recommend it!!

Great hotel, far better than anything in Ekaterinburg or Krasnoyarsk (including Novotels there). The staff spoke good English, the gym was well equipped, and the breakfast area was nice (although there were few vegan options). The highlight of the hotel was the incredibly spacious rooms. The beds were large and comfortable and the furniture were new, although the carpet looked cheap. The bathroom was clean and modern with Japanese-style toilets. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Ulan-Ude.
