And again Lake Constance for the season! The bear in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen still steps – especially known by the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Unteruhldingen, the pirate buildings from the Bronze Age – but one already sees the early weather swing. On the eve before the big rain, everyone is on the legs again; you can even get the appearance, half Germany makes vacation here (a few Danish, French, Asian are of course also below). The place itself tries to leave the cars outside as well as possible, which makes the central Seefelder Straße a flanierboulevard – and a cycle speed. If you don't sit on a beer garden bench or a café-house chair, you'll be mercilessly approached by a mountain biker, pedelec driver or early boarder on Lake Constance. Since my last visit at the beginning of September was exceptionally still a bit of a foot disease, I for the most part dispensed with the flanking and saved myself as quickly as possible in a nearby café. Al Gusto is centrally located just opposite the marina. In the late afternoon the sun shines still pleasantly warm here, as well as it is completely windless here. The places on the sun terrace are almost all occupied, but I almost suspect that this is the case at all times of the day. Fortunately, I still have a cat table in the first row, with the best view of the lake, the port and the small town park. The Al Gusto also operates as a café, bar and bistro – and of course as an ice salon. I'm looking for a menu or drink card in vain on the table, although drinking around me, eating and freezing ice cream. Are you just going into the blind? Quite quickly, a waiter enters my field of vision, which with an impeccable Italian appearance impresses a joyful “Buon Giorno” and offers his services in such a way that it seems to me almost too urgent. Everything works very staged and artificially placed. But perhaps the local audience expects such arias? I'm dimming a little bit down, and I decide to just order a coffee. A simple one. No, no cappuccino, no latte Macchiato, no food, no scene drink... Visibly disappointed the waiter and no longer shows up with me. So the cup of coffee is delivered by an employee from the category of footstock. He's not allowed to cash and he's referring to the boss. In the end, I'll get them in trouble. She then also acts extremely friendly, routined and highly professional. Well, I'm at least getting to know the whole workforce... The hot drink shown in the bill as a Schümli coffee (2.50 euros) is served with a small packed biscuit and proves to be exceptionally acid-concrete. I also receive an additional requested coffee cream portion; I can't get anything down. I still enjoy the slow sun and then find the toilets inside the place. Already at the entrance door there is a sign: “Toilette 1 Euro”. Applies probably to non-guests. Like everywhere at the lake, one has to protect oneself from unhurried intruders (in this case, generous public toilet facilities are only a few steps from here until evening at 11 a.m.). While the terrace was modern and appealing and furnished, the charm of the 1950s and 1960s reigns in the interior of the restaurant. I couldn't determine whether everything was originally from time or was only reproached. But it works rather stiff and veneer wood. I don't like to sit here... I'll discover the blister pack of a tablet on the floor and automatically lift it up. “This is from the mamma!” I learn from the boss. Well, that's how I get to know half the relationship. It's kind of nice and sympathetic, even if the coffee didn't taste me. Maybe I should order one of the impressive ice cups that I could admire at the neighboring table at the next visit?
Super nice waiter, but prices for ice and lunch also quite sporty. is the location to the harbour

Despite waiting for the ordering session (about 15 minutes) the dinner of the child did not come, as mentioned twice, together with the reception. a possible excuse was replaced by a smiling smile. parmesan for the noodles (first after demand) was calculated with 3.30€ “Küch Taucher”. we had to ask three times for the bill. the charge was empty at that time. 2 stars.
