The cozy interiors match the convivial atmosphere, where a palpable sense of warmth and the staff's welcomeness are only a prelude to the stellar choice of selected courses. I tried all the high ranked restaurants in Udine, and I can definitely say that Caffè Tomaso is the best! Highly recommended!

Cafe meant for us a kind of bar/coffee place with some tables street side. We found ourselves in a lovely park, welcome by a great nice and very good staff with fantastic food on the table and glasses of one of the best wines in Friuli !Jermann Pinot Blanc 2018)! We recommend!!!

Now, apparen... read more We hadn 't made reservations and the place we were original planning to go turned us down without a thought. Across the street was this little gem. Now, apparently when someone makes a reservation in Italy at least in smaller towns the table is theirs for the entire night, even if they are not arriving until after 9. But, we were early in the evening and when we walked in we asked for a table and were shown a choice of three however, we did have to be out by 9:30 10 as they did have reservations for late. The server turned out to be a gentleman working for the owner to see what was going on and what worked/didn 't work. It was a great evening, with too much fun with the handsome men who are the staff. And, the conversation about how early seatings could be made for the American old folks like us who eat early and would be out long before the normal hour most Italians have dinner. Food was great as well.

Little extras like the beautiful bread served in cute bags. A very popular restaurant close to central Udine. Highly recommended!

Looking traditional we decided to try a glass of wine Cristina was very attentive and explained the menu of the day sooner we were talking to Tomás and the Chef Andrea... What a food experience everything we had was fantastic the steak was cooked to perfection. Thank you guys for the experience we loved it. Ps and by the way that oaked grappa was fantastic bought a bottle to take home Cheers guys and all the best.
