Took my wife for lunch on her birthday. It was a bit early for the open fire, but this wonderful 16th-century pub was warm and friendly. We both had the chicken and wild mushroom chasseur with a lovely rich sauce, thoroughly enjoyed. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.

Very long wait for food ,roast beef tough, carrots parsnips under cooked, but steak and ale pie I had VERY NICE. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
Delicious food, could have more knowledge/offers on cocktails (as basic as a Long Island) but as it is a village pub I’m happy with leaving 5 stars Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
