The food is excellent at this restaurant. We enjoyed a vegetarian risotto and spare ribs as our main courses, both were very flavorful. The outdoor terrace is lovely and there is parking available. The prices are reasonable, especially with the Fork offer. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Mezon:
Good quality was good and very good presentation of dishes . The chef was very welcoming and nice. The service was pretty bad , we asked to close the window as it was super cold inside , they do not even try to do it . We had to eat with our coats. View all feedback.

The chef offers an innovative menu. The service is attentive.

I was very curious about this restaurant: rather limited but appealing menu, family-friendly, sustainable. Was very much looking forward to try it out. The welcome was warm. The setting felt a bit less so: mainly white interior, children's seats everywhere, no curtains, barely any ornaments against the wall, no music (when we arrived). In a way, it felt like it hadn't been fully finished. Maybe the place is just still too new? Not really sure. The service felt a bit clumsy. We arrived with four people, but were expecting a fifth guest still. We barely got the time to be seated and get comfortable before being bombarded with the menu. Our fifth guest arrived just in time, still wearing her jacket, to listen to the chef's explanation of what was being served. We were here for a relaxed evening, and it just felt too rushed from the start. This first experience proved to be completely the opposite of the rest of the dinner's service. Though very friendly, our waiter appeared definitely not on top of things. For example: there were only four main courses, but when ordering the fish he got confused as to which dish it was exactly. One should expect the waiter to know the menu. Also he managed to deliver all our drinks, with the exception of our aperitifs, with great delay. We ordered a bottle of wine with our starters, but only received it before the main course. That was after our first choice of wine appeared to be out of stock, and with our second choice (excellent wine by the way) the waiter made a silly joke of it being out of stock too. We missed the point of the joke completely, which resulted in awkwardness on both sides. Then we ordered sparkling water. First, the waiter brings half a bottle of still water, realizing his mistake he takes it back to switch the bottle for a bottle of sparkling water, but only returning with it after the main course. All this time the empty glasses of our aperitifs were still on our table. As a digestif, there was only amaretto available. No worries. Amaretto is fine. But upon receiving it, after a steady wait, it turns out to be limoncello. Not quite the same as amaretto, obviously. We didn't make a fuss about it, but it adds to the clumsy experience. And to close it off, we had to wait quite some time on our bill. Waiting is acceptable if the restaurant is really busy, but it wasn't even half full, so it should have been manageable. Maybe the waiter was new and replacing someone. I'm willing to be forgiving, but really, they should get heir service a bit more streamlined and synchronized. Especially with a restaurant at this price pint Now, perhaps most importantly, the food was really, really good. I can definitely recommend the cuisine. A well thought out menu with an eye for detail. Not your typical menu, but clever variations! Four starters, four main courses and four deserts. The chef knows what he's doing, and takes pride in his work. He came to explain us his dishes and checked in on our table regularly, indicating his involvement. Very nice touch. The restaurant may be a bit pricey. Especially considering the above comments. But put some extra effort in the service and organization, maybe add to the cosiness of the venue, and it would be well worth it.
