Ok hotel, a lot of nice things to look at. But, the rooms are small and have no ventilation or air-condition. Also, breakfast was extremely simple and quite expensive. Not worth paying 100DKK for a bun with sweaty cheese. So, buy your breakfast elsewhere, many good places to eat in Denmark

Last week I visited Vraa Slotshotel in Tylstrup. Although the building and the history are very interesting this was by far the worst hotel I have been. The hotel, the restaurant and my room was crowded with flies. I hardly slept and at around 05:00 in the morning I lost the battle against the flies and left my room to spend some time outside. The food was average and by far too expensive This was my first and definitely my last visit to this hotel.

Booked the place on a spur and it turned out to be a nice and cozy old castle. The very nice receptionist made sure we got a nice room, even if it could use a little restoration like a paint job and a new carpet. The food in the restaurant was good. The waiters were very young and inexperienced, probably because of a wedding at the hotel at the same time requiring the senior waiting staff. Overall it was a nice and pleasant stay although at arrival, we were a bit shocked about the harsh smell of a pig farm placed right next to the hotel. But we barely noticed for the rest of the stay.

Lovely hotel, and beautiful spacious rooms? really good breakfast? can definitely be recommended!
