Description

Tucked away under the train tracks, this charming taco joint has garnered a loyal following for its exceptional barbacoa and homemade tortillas. While the food remains flavorful and satisfying, patrons have noted recent price hikes and smaller portion sizes, leading to mixed feelings about value. The bustling atmosphere often results in long waits, particularly during lunch hours. Despite these drawbacks, customers rave about the delightful experience and the attentive service, making this spot a must-visit for taco lovers. Be prepared for a crowd, and consider calling ahead for takeout to skip the line.

The food is fairly price and a good amount. The only way I found this place was the smell they have no sign. Worth it will definitely be back

I tried the tacos and tamales and was impressed enough to return for the papayas and tamales. The tamales are a solid 10/10! I always wish I had a grandmother to make them for me. The pupusas were also quite good.

The menu is straightforward, offering grilled chicken that can be purchased whole, half, or quartered. They also serve rice, beans, and homemade tortillas, along with a variety of tacos—chicken, fajitas, or barbacoa. On weekends, they have special items like pupusas and tamales. Now, about those tacos: we ordered six barbacoa tacos, and they were absolutely amazing. They were so good that my husband and I found ourselves in a playful battle over who would get the last one! We also tried the chilaquiles, which come with either white or dark meat chicken. Since I don’t eat chicken, I requested it be left off my plate. They happily obliged and gave me extra beans, rice, and chilaquiles instead—what fantastic customer service! I certainly wasn’t expecting that. Finding the location can be a bit tricky; if you drive too fast, you might miss this charming little shack. It's located on Glenwood, just past Front Street, under the train tracks on the right side. Keep an eye out for it, and if you can’t spot it, just follow your nose—you won’t regret it! I promise you’ll fall in love with the food!

I always get the mixed bowl. I prefer no bean and all rice. Great place to grab a quick bite and head on your way. Quickest in and out Taco stand in town

MUST TRY! Hands down!! I just left maybe 10 minutes ago! I had to pull over to eat after I had a small taste! Their meat is tender and full of flavor so much that I didn’t drink anything after! When I walked in I was immediately greeted and I told them this was my first time and they had no problem going over their menu! The customer service was beyond great, one gentleman got me to try a meat I would have never tried and it was GREAT! I will be going back whenever I’m in Tyler! Very happy about finding a new taco place!!!
