Drift Tybee Llc - Tybee Island

I attempted to have breakfast at this restaurant this morning, but it was closed for renovations. I was disappointed.

I waited in line for 20 minutes for my latte, which I didn't mind. When I reached the window, I asked if they could make my latte now or if I would have to wait. The worker said they could make it now but I would have to wait off to the side. I paid and gave a nice tip, and she assured me they were making it. After waiting on the porch for 10 minutes, the manager informed me there were a few orders ahead of mine. I mentioned I had my family waiting in the car and asked if I should wait before placing my order. The manager simply said the worker was new. I understand times are tough but honesty should still be a priority when training employees. I ended up leaving without receiving my medium latte and will not be supporting this poorly run coffee shop.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The staff are selfish and inconsiderate, taking on too many orders at once and leaving customers waiting for over an hour with no explanation. Visiting this restaurant was the biggest mistake of our entire vacation. On top of that, the food is just mediocre.

This morning, we waited at this coffee shop for over an hour for a simple breakfast sandwich and pastry. We were surprised at how slow the service was, and no one came to update us on the progress or apologize. If I hadn't already paid, I would have left without my order. To top it off, my friend's breakfast sandwich was burnt and served on the wrong bread. When she told the staff, they mentioned they had run out of croissants but didn't offer a refund or inform her about the change. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

My group of around 15 people went to Drift for breakfast, and we placed our orders between 10:20am and 10:40am. It's been over an hour and I still haven't received my 2 breakfast sandwiches and a crepe. My friend had to wait 15 minutes for her smoothie and muffin. The wait time was ridiculous, but the food was decent. I would only recommend this place if there's no line or if you don't mind waiting a long time for your food. The restaurant was clean, but the staff seemed unaware and inattentive to customers. I wouldn't come back here again. It's now 11:51am and we're still waiting for our food.
