We drove an hour for a meal that was simply inedible. The Monte Cristo sandwich was drenched in caramel sauce, creating a confusing and unappetizing mix of flavors. My husband’s breakfast combo was completely cold and flavorless. The butter wouldn’t even melt on the pancakes, and the potatoes clearly had been sitting out for a while. Great burger, got the boonies burger and it was awesome. The outside seating was very peaceful and relaxing. Never a huge crowd there so if quiet if your thing. This is the place for you!
Boonies could be a great spot. Hindered by bad service, and employees that don't care. If you're in the area go to Cedar Hill Deli. Great food and service. Avoid boonies at all cost until they reconsider awful management.
My family and I usually enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants, but our recent visit was quite disappointing. The service was incredibly slow, and the crabcake sandwich I ordered was, frankly, the worst I've ever had. When I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she mentioned she was new and wasn’t familiar with the menu. Being from Maryland, I was excited to try the crabcake, but what I received was a processed patty that barely filled the bun—definitely not worth the price. I couldn't even finish it. My husband had the hot chicken sandwich special, which was mediocre at best. My daughter enjoyed her burger, while my other daughter found her chicken Caesar salad to be just okay. The highlight of our meal was, surprisingly, the cheese bay fries, which were the only part we truly liked.
Boonies is fantastic! The staff are friendly, and the food is delicious with generous portion sizes.
