Over the past three months, my family and I have dined at the Temple Cotton Patch five times, with the number of guests ranging from just my wife and me to a party of eight. The food has always been excellent and the kitchen staff deserve high praise and recognition for their hard work. Over the past three months, my family and I have dined at the Temple Cotton Patch five times, with the number of guests ranging from just my wife and me to a party of eight. The food has always been excellent and the kitchen staff deserve high praise and recognition for their hard work. The wait staff has also been exceptional, although I regret not remembering their names. Our most recent waiter, Crystal G., and the delicious food we enjoyed (beef tips and chicken fried steak) inspired me to write this review. Crystal and the food made for a fantastic dinner for my uncle, our wives, and myself. Additionally, as we were leaving, another waiter thanked us for visiting. I want to extend my thanks to everyone at the restaurant for providing us with a wonderful dining experience.
We waited 10 minutes at the reception without anyone taking our name. A waitress eventually recognized us and called the restaurant to ask if we were guests. The person on the phone confirmed but said they were busy. Finally, someone came and took our name after noticing there were 22 other guests waiting. Despite the restaurant having plenty of empty tables, it was clear they didn't want our business. It's disappointing because I used to love this restaurant, but it's not worth it anymore.
I haven't been to this restaurant in a while but will definitely return soon. The last time I visited was in Waco. I ordered the chicken fried steak with steamed veggies and fried okra, but decided to add an extra side. My friends also enjoyed their meals, and I hear the meat options are fantastic. Everyone left satisfied. The waiter was attentive and patient throughout our meal.
Great food! The fish and chips and chicken roast steak were very good. My favorite pages are the baked squash and broccoli. Definitely the best pages in town!!
So, we're from Tulsa, OK and we were through the area and ended up on Cotton Patch accidentally. My father has done business in Temple in the past and he thought that was a restaurant he had visited before, but when we moved up, he said, oh, that is not the place. We have decided that since we were here, we wanted to try it! The best mistake my father would have made! This place has amazing food and also amazing service. Erica was soooo friendly and professional. She helped us in our selection and showed us in the right direction. Needless to say, I do not remember the name of the place my father wanted to go, but I will not forget the name of Cotton Patch anytime soon!! Great food, great people and great prices!
