The food is LEGIT! Ordered takeout from here recently and was blown away at how much flavor they're able to pack into their food! We ordered the sharing bundle and a Bowl bao with the Berkshire bbq pork. Just trust me and try it! If you like bao buns, check them out! View all feedback.
What Donut E doesn't like about Wow Bao Twin Falls:
I should have read the reviews first the Spicy Kung Pao Chicken Bowl is UNEATABLE, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING funky, putrid sour taste and not even the slightest bit spicy. A total waste money. View all feedback.
Meh! I suppose if you 've never had bao buns freshly made you may have a much different viewpoint, but I grew up with these in Los Angeles. First, the buns are their most successful product. We thought the rice bowls were underwhelming and more akin to a frozen dinner with fresh, underseasoned rice. Flavors were too delicate for a bowl, but were most likely adapted from the buns. Pot stickers were ok, but without a dipping sauce, they should stand on their own and knock my socks off. The bao buns, while seemingly soft and pillowey, lack that authentic woodsy smell from the bamboo steamers. I would imagine that is a result of the parchment paper on the bottom and I suspect they were previously frozen. In addition, compared to on point bao buns, I would say the dough wasn 't formed fast enough and over-proofed. Meat to bun ratio is off. Aside from my bao bun snobbery, the cheeseburger bao purchased for a toddler was plain gross (think hamburger helper). I 'm never a fan of delivery...I like my food hot and straight out of the kitchen. This is delivery only...a dark kitchen. That means no physical presence for you to pick it up...they lease a small space from and existing kitchen. I 'm not singing DD 's praises.
All I ordered from them was an orange chicken bowl. WOW was I disappointed! Rice was hard, not cooked all the way through imagine that being most of whats in your plate. Chicken was cut into the most smallest pieces I've ever seen around town that serve Asian food. Won't be ordering from here again kinda pricey for what you get.
What nobody seems to tell you is that Wow Bao operates out of an existing commercial kitchen (husband read the fine print online). In the case of Twin Falls, Sizzler's. You order on your phone app and they deliver. Ah, technology.I was hoping the teriyaki chicken bowl was as good as it looked. It wasn't. Way too sweet. Like sickening candy sweet. But the bao (spicy Mongolian beef, NOT pork) — aka, manapua for the Hawaii ex-pats — and the potstickers were okay. You can get better from the frozen food section, or make it yourself, tbh.My husband and I got into a screaming fight over the ordering process, because he thought I knew they offered dumplings (steamed) and potstickers (pan-seared), and I thought they only offered potstickers (which can be steamed or fried or pan-seared).Getting old sucks. Marriage sucks too. I don't recommend it.

Unbelievably terrible.. our chicken bowls looked like mashed chicken. We couldn’t eat it
